But whatever short commute I have, I take the chance to listen to Audiobooks. I bought a few Stephen King's audiobooks recently, mainly my favourites - The Shinning, Christine and Pet Sematary. I have read these books before but I must say that listening to audiobooks give an entirely different feeling and atmosphere. The narration by these professionals bring out the story to a different level! I never expected to enjoy listening to people reading a book and audiobooks prove me wrong.

Currently, Amazon has a promotion. Buy 3 audiobooks using credits, and they give you a US$10 coupon. Signing up to a free trial gives you 2 credit. After that, pay for one month of Audible Premium to get 1 credit. Buy 3 books using these 3 credits and you get $10, which is good for another book. Essentially, $7.99 for 4 books!

Sometimes I imagine that there will come a time when I'm so old that my eyesight is not good for long hours of reading. I imagine myself sitting on a rocking chair, by a fake air cooler (instead of fireplace), listening to my favourite audiobook :)

One with Cloudflare and one with GoDaddy. Cloudflare is my preferred choice because the yearly renewal cost is low. They seems to be doing it at cost. But, I still keep one with GoDaddy, despite the higher cost, because I like their email forwarding product, which let me forward unwanted emails to a throwaway Gmail account.

Anyway, Cloudflare tells me that I have around 5K unique visitor to this website last month. I believe you all came here because of Google search result on SKTM school (which my youngest child is still studying at, a great school BTW!) or because you were looking for daimoku chart. Or, maybe you want to know if Amazon Alexa will work for you. For this, I am grateful. Specifically, I want to buy those from publisher Hodder. This is my current collection.

I bought the Dark Tower set box for a really cheap price of MYR180 from Shopee. This is truly a bargain, and if you are a King fan, you don't want to miss this deal. The shipping from China, via ship, is just a measly MYR1.50.

What I am looking for is 'Salem Lot and The Shinning. I imagine it must be printed in China or, just like India, the version sold in-country is made up of really poor quality. I took a gamble and bought it. I see that the quality of the books are as good as those you can purchase from Popular or mph in Malaysia. From the covers of each book, I noted that they are printed in UK by Clays Pvt Ltd.

Packaging by this seller is excellent. They bubble wrapped the whole thing through and through and put it into a brown box which is made up of thick cardboard. They even reinforced it with extra cardboards.

Unfortunately, my copy was dented at the side and it affected Book 7. Maybe is already dented before shipping. Maybe this is the reason why it is cheap. It's not the fault of the seller but i do see another reviewer who has dented book too, so my theory that this could be rejected products is right. The books are definitely new. It has the wonderful smell of new books. I am not fussy so I think I can accept it for such a low price almost RM 25 per book, and not needing to hunt for each one in Malaysia individually.

Oh, another curious thing - Book 7 has very small font compare to the rest of the books. It must be a really thick one which the publisher have compressed. It's not going to be pleasant to read if you have old eyes.

Ringgit Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07939848367324256918noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112323.post-76434169826515413622022-12-01T14:41:00.000+08:002022-12-01T14:41:38.569+08:00Blog clientOne of the reasons for the lack of blogging is really the lack of a good, native iOS client for blogger.com. I can use Safari but it's not that intuitive and nice.

I realise I could use a Drafts action to "mail to Blogger". That way, I can use Drafts as the native note taking client and mail it to blogger.com. This is my example post.

I’m here but I’m just swamped with work once we are all back to office. What happened in this past 1.5 years? Tons! On the nerdy, Apple fan front, I’ve changed to a iPhone 13 Pro, my company issued me a MacBook Pro 16” with M1 Pro chip! I bought a nice Sound Blaster Katana X to listen to music (it’s superb!!). Malaysia have a new PM10 in Anwar Ibrahim. The children are growing. Job still suck although that work-issued Mac is really nice.

Most important - everyone is still healthy.

Hope you have a good 1.5 years too. I should blog more!
Alter Egohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03114143519762965052noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112323.post-83665174284693678812021-05-19T10:40:00.006+08:002023-05-06T15:40:25.970+08:00How I use Drafts

After a purposeful 2 weeks of using Agile Tortoise's Drafts, I think I am slowly understanding this tool, and here is how I am using it.

How

As advertised, Drafts is where text starts. So, you MUST put Drafts in the iPhone dock. When you have any thoughts, you start entering them into Drafts, so the app has to be within reach, fast.

The Apple Watch dictation, or dictate through iPhone is a powerful way to capture thoughts. Start by putting the Drafts widget on the Home screen so that you can tap the microphone and start dictation. Similarly, put Drafts complication on each watch face.

Drafts is for short notes, NOT long-form writing.

Make it a point to review your notes and act on them.

I probably need to learn basic Markdown e.g. #Header and ##subheader

On a Mac, I’ve configured Control-Space to open a Drafts quick capture. Command-Space for Alfred. Control for Drafts. Easy.

Act
Here comes the second part. Act on your drafts. That means, having a mindset that Drafts is your temporary text storage place. You need to act on them by moving the text somewhere.

I put my daily musings into Drafts, tag them as musings and later move it to the Personal folder in Awesome Notes as a diary entry.

I put a list of to-dos in one note and then export it as each line item into Things.

I write my blog in Drafts and sent it via email to Blogger, then go to Blogger and edit it or put in photos before publishing. It's the best way to blog from the phone to Blogger.

If I plan to blast a tweetstorm, I write in Drafts and run a Tweet Storm action to break it into many linked tweets.

After all the actions, the buttons will archive these drafts and get them out of my face.

To Be Determined
What I am still doing in Drafts but I am not sure if this is the right place for them.

When I read a great article in Safari, I highlight key paragraph, save to Drafts and tag it as "read later". Safari has Read Later as well, but there is no way to capture the highlighted paragraph. Liner does these well but I hate their advertisement crap.

I have a lot of one liners which I captured but not sure what to do with them. Maybe just thrashing them or archiving in Drafts is a good action to take crap out of my mind.

Don't Do
What I don't use Drafts for, even though it is highly advertised to do so.

I don't type my instant message (eg WhatsApp here)... I can type in WhatsApp itself, so I am not sure the point.

I also don't type my emails in Drafts and fire them off. That's not how I do my emails.

This is hard, but I don't want Drafts to end up being ANOTHER notes app for me. It should not be. My brother in law bought one from Shoppee and his bike was shipped from China. I'm not a bike enthusiast like him and so, I prefer to see the bike first before I buy and I'd like to be able to send it to a shop for service or repairs if there's a need to, and so, I went to this shop called Bike Elemenz in Desa Kompleks in Kepong.

The owner, a nice gentleman by the name Gavin, was there and he let us try a few models and convinced me why the bike that he's selling, a brand called Crossmac, is better that those that come from China. The secret, he said, is in the joints when you fold a bicycle. The joint must be made of good quality material so as not to fall apart from frequent use.

Actually, I don't have much opinion about this bicycle as it is just a bicycle, after all, and I'm too tall and heavy to enjoy it. But, it's a perfect fit for my wife and the two girls. We adjusted the height of the seat and handle quite frequently depending on who is riding it and, and it handled this abuse quite well. We also fold the bicycle and bring it inside the house every day, so, that part also handled the abuse quite well. The bike is pretty light and small, once it is folded and my CRV can fit two of them, so once the public park is opened, it will be very easy to bring the bike to FRIM or TTDI park for a ride.

The CRV can easily fit two of these

What I can show you in this blog is how to fold the bike. We are at the cusps of MCO 3.0 with daily cases above 2700. Some schools in PJ were closed. Some were reopened after closing for a couple of weeks. My daughters’ school, SKTM, is still opened but many parents are not sending their kids to school.

Last week, my nephew’s form teacher was tested positive. Nephew and family were considered Category B, meaning they have to self-quarantine and wait for KKM instructions to go for the Covid test. We had close contact with the nephew and as such, we are considered Category C. If nephew is tested positive (as of this writing, he’s not showing symptoms and KKM scheduled a test on Day 10), then we will become Cat B. Therefore, we chose to self-quarantine for 10 days and so, the girls did not go to school.

To be honest, I'm disappointed as I have also heard of friends who were Cat C who still went out. It made our self-quarantine pointless. I wish there are clearer guidelines from KKM in regards to the mobility of Cat C people.

I believe that it is a challenge for the government to decide what to do. You implement MCO and the economy tank. The kids have already missed one year of education. I cannot imagine them not studying for another few months.

You don't implement, then the daily cases soar and the citizen worries. That is why I feel the best the government can do is to give us clear guidelines. What can a Cat B do? What should a Cat C do?

How about restricting the number of people eating out? Today, the rampant cases are a result of all these lunches and dinner gatherings. Restrict it to 2-3 pax per table or, only family can eat out. Disallow all night clubs and pubs. I bet you that when you are drunk, you'll forget to stay 1 meter apart or masked up.

We want to take care of ourselves but we need everyone to do the same.

Alter Egohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03114143519762965052noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112323.post-49756962706550721452021-04-18T15:18:00.003+08:002021-04-18T15:40:46.739+08:00Keychron K4V2 Review

Recently
I bought a Keychron K4V2 mechanical keyboard. This one came with
Gateron Browns, a hotswappable RGB board and a aluminum body. The
reasons I bought this keyboard, despite having quite a number of
keyboards are:

1. This is a wireless keyboard which could connect to 3 devices. I hate cables and so, having a wireless keyboard made my desk cable and clutter free. Once you start using a wireless keyboard, wired feel so inconvenient. By pressing Fn-1, I connect to my Windows PC. Fn-2 will instantly switched to my MacBook and Fn-3 to the iPad. The switch is almost instant, maybe a couple of seconds delay to connect to the PC, but, it feels so good that it’s like having a KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) device at home.

2. Numpad in a TKL size. As I used my PC a lot more to do work these past months, I find that the Numpad is invaluable for when I’m doing Excel or quick calculation. The problem with full-size keyboards are that they are too wide. The Keychron K4V2 though, crammed all these essential keys into a compact keyboard, leaving no unnecessary space, therefore achieving a keyboard with Numpads with a size slightly smaller than a TKL keyboard.

3. Hotswappable board. I don’t have one. And I like Browns for the tactile typing experience. But, I’d like to have linear Reds for gaming. And hotswappable board made my wish come true. I bought a pack of 35 Gateron switches together with the keyboard and swapped out WASD and other keys on the left hand into Reds. In a way, this is now a hybrid keyboard. It does feel weird when typing, with half the hand on linear switches and the other half tactile but oh well, I’ll adjust.

There you have it, yet another addition to my current keyboard collection!

USB-C port for charging and connecting to the PC through a cable. One of the additions to my Alexa-enabled household is the Alexa Wall Clock, made by Amazon. There is also a Citizen branded Alexa powered wall clock at double the price if that’s your fancy.

It's a simple wall clock that is powered by 4-AA batteries. I am
not sure how long these battery will last. Hopefully it will last more than one year. The wall clock connects to Alexa via
Bluetooth. When you asked Alexa to set a timer for 10 minutes, the minute notches of the Wall

Amazon didn't put the plastic cover. Perhaps it will reduce legibility, I don’t know. The Citizen branded clock at double the price do have a clear glass/plastic protecting it. I would have paid the premium except that the Citizen clock is powered by 4 type C battery. I’ve heard of AA or AAA but have not heard of C battery and I believe it will be expensive in Malaysia.

I also bought the Echo Flex, a simple Echo device that is plugged to the wall plug

Warning not to touch the clock face (need a face-palm)

Alter Egohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03114143519762965052noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112323.post-63537022750671059922020-04-11T18:01:00.000+08:002020-04-11T18:01:07.560+08:00Online everythingI read somewhere recently that one blessing in disguise is that our internet infrastructure have become so essential and matured to enable us to have a life during the Covid-19 lockdown. Imagine that we can still get in touch with friends and families (Facetime, WhatsApp video call, Skype), we can do online shopping for our groceries, we have Netflix and Spotify for TV and entertainment. And for the offices, we have VPN, Webex and ability to work from home. Can you imagine life without a strong internet infrastructure? What a depressing thought this is!

Even the kids are learning online - schools give homework to the girls via Google Classroom. And, really I am impressed with SKTM and MOE in general. The teachers are sending homework every day and some teachers are doing video of themselves teaching! Such dedication in the name of education.

Their Taekwondo Master is doing Taekwondo lessons online via Zoom where it is a two way video of watching their Master executing the moves and also the Master watching them following his moves. Their Yamaha teacher is teaching piano lessons also via Zoom - kids played together or take turns doing their repertoire.

My wife, who started her accounting tuition, is also getting requests from parents to run classes online.

We live in very interesting times!Alter Egohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03114143519762965052noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112323.post-5695470649384052802020-04-11T17:50:00.000+08:002020-04-11T17:50:12.518+08:00Covid-19Twenty Twenty didn't start well. Covid-19 cases are all over the world and in Malaysia, the government imposed a Movement Control Order. Schools are closed and we are all asked to #StayAtHome and work from home. As an introvert, I should feel joy and happiness. In a way, I am enjoying my time at home in front of a PC and spending more times with the family. But after 4 weeks of being cooked inside a house and two more weeks to go, I think even an introvert needed a break from this solitary! Let's see how this goes.

My only consolation is that I have recently changed role and do not have sales pressure on my shoulder. So, that lifted some stress off my back, amidst the stress caused by Covid-19 uncertainties. It's 2020, the start of a new decade. It is a clean slate for everyone of us to chart what is our next decade going to be!

I think I would like to go independent in this coming decade. I am not sure what I will be doing, but I probably do not forsee myself being in a 9-5 job anymore. Maybe it will take me additional 5 more years as a salaried worker while I prepare myself.. but, I think after working for almost 24 years non-stop, it's about time I think of something I would like to do, simply because I LIKE doing it. So, I am also re-looking at my family's expenses and hopefully, able to adjust the spending while still considering the kids college funds, the mortgage, the car loan and looking to extending the life of my current computer gears.

More importantly for me is to reflect on my strength and also sharpening the saw on areas I am lacking - reeducating myself so that I can be independent.

However, let's talk about what gear I am going into the new decade:

1. I am still using my good old Core i7-7700K PC with my delightful LG 38WK95C ultrawide monitor. I have two slight additions: a Dell 23" secondary monitor in portrait mode which was passed down to me by @ZipD. Another delightful additions I have added is a Elgato Stream Deck, a 15 keys device which allow me to program shortcuts. I am still using a very slow graphics card, GTX 1060, so it's not able to drive my ultra wide when gaming. I probably need to upgrade this gfx card or buying a used 1080Ti.

The nice thing about dual monitor and having software like DisplayFusion, is that you can have one beautiful wallpaper that span across two monitors.

2. I have a Razer Mamba wireless mouse on its way. I hope I will enjoy this wireless life. I have no confidence that wireless is going to be lag-less - I am really sensitive to slight lag and my Apple wireless trackpad connecting to a MacBook is a proof that even Apple products, with their integrated everything, have slight lags.

3. On the Mac side, I am still using the company issued MacBook Air 2018, with my old trusty MacBook Air 2013 as my backup computer upstairs.

4. I didn't change the iPhone - still very pleased with the iPhone Xs Max but somehow, the battery health is now reaching 90%, which means, it has degraded much faster than I expected. I think in the next 2-3 years, I probably need to change the battery, ouch! I am equally pleased with the old iPad Air 2, also issued by work. In reality, I don't find much use for the iPad and it's very unlikely that I will buy an iPad when I returned it to the company.

I wonder how productive my gear is going to make me when I go independent. So far, the PC is an entertainment system while the Mac is a production system. Will the PC ever be productive to me? I hope so as I cannot afford a Mac anymore.

These are things that are on my mind these days as the days start ticking in 2020.
It was my front tire which hit his rear left bumper, thus stopping the car from banging into my front door. There’s no way to explain this except protection from shoten zhenjin!

Saturday morning, I took the girls for breakfast in our usual joint around Aman Suria. You know how at times things just don’t go your way - and in these moments, you are careless and reckless.

Early this week, after piano lesson on Tuesday evening, I turned out of CentrePoint and was very close to getting my front left bumper to scratch the sharp corner. My front sensor was in red and the alarm was blaring very loudly. I told myself I have to be careful. And the following morning while parking near Taman SEA, I got too close to the curb. It’s like this is a bad week for driving as I was not careful and was always gambling.

And it’s almost the same this morning. I was driving along the Pet shop and Restoran 747. I passed by an empty parking slot on my left. Then I stopped and decided to take that parking slot but I was almost 100m ahead of it. That means I have to reverse. No big deal. Saturday morning and it’s usually pretty quiet. My daughter was humming a song and I shift the gear to reverse, looking at the screen which shows what the rear camera capture. The reverse sensor is not giving out any alarm. The overhead rear view mirror is not showing anything.

And then a jerk to the car and a noise. I have hit something. Shit I said. And when I looked to my right, an old Mercedes reverses right into me! Omg! How did I not see him? My new CRV!!

I can’t get out as his boot is almost at my front door. I lowered the window and looked out. The man got out of his car and asked me how can I reverse here.

We looked at the damage but fortunately, no damage as my front right tire which jutted out because I was turning caught his rear left bumper. So, the rubber hit his bumper and stopped our car (see illustration)

It could have gone worse. My front door would have dented or worse. I didn’t see him. And yet, I was saved by the tire. I can only attribute this to protection from shoten zhenjin, protection from chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo! There’s no other explanation.

I’m thankful and this lesson taught me to be really aware of my surrounding and go super slow when reversing. Or better, go around the shop houses and return to the parking slot again instead of reversing. I’m super thankful coz of an accident happen, I will not be able to sleep!

I don’t think it was a hard bang and I’m hoping there is no internal damage to the drive shaft or the absorber that’s behind the tire.

Here's hoping that is the case. Ringgit Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07939848367324256918noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112323.post-42160748050266272602019-11-15T10:16:00.000+08:002019-11-15T10:17:16.774+08:00New MacBook Pro 16" announced but all I hear is KEYBOARD!Apple announced a new MacBook Pro 16" a couple of days ago. They had a small event for reporters to show off the new MacBook. It replaced the 15" model, so there are only two MacBook Pro models for sale starting today - the 13" and the 15". There are a lot of enhancements to this model but all I read from the tons of news coverage are the new scissor-switch keyboard!

As a mechanical keyboards aficionado, my head was nodding at every review talking about the importance of keyboard to the overall user experience. There's a podcast over at Upgrade where Jason Snell interviewed the product manager of MacBook Pro and they discussed about the research work which went into designing the new keyboard. The topic covers area like the feel when typing, getting your fingers oriented by feeling the layout of the keys, the sound that typing made and how it sound to you and people around you. They also discussed why the gap between keys are wider in this new keyboard and this is interesting because the scissor switch have a higher key travel. Key travel is the distance that the key has to move when it is pressed before it reach the bottom. Mechanical keyboards usually have very high key travel but they have a point midway when they key actuates and provide feedback to your fingers. According to the product manager, when there is high key travel, the moment you press the key, your finger might touch the adjacent keys and create unwanted key presses. Therefore, they have to have more spacing between keys.

Many people do not appreciate the importance of keyboard. As long as it types the words they keyed in, that's all they want to see. But really, keyboard is as integral to the overall user experience of the product as say, your screen or the performance of the machine. If the keyboard is unreliable, or the typing experience is unsatisfactory, it will affect your overall impression of the computer.

I shared about my thoughts on mechanical keyboards before:

At the end of the day, a keyboard is very individual. And like a car,
you need to take it out for a spin before you get the feel and settle
for one. Just like a car, taking a 30 minute spin may not be enough. You
gotta use the keyboard for a few weeks before you can conclude if you
like it, which make this mechanical keyboard a very expensive and time
consuming hobby.

To me, I have used the alps for many years. My natural tendency and love
is for an alps keyboard. That made my option very limited, which is
just the Matias range.

I have recently bought a Razer (MX Blue) and a Choc Mini (MX Black). So
far I like the Blue better than the Black. It's actually a no brainer
because I know I like the tactile feel of the Blue. Linear switch like
the Black has no difference to a rubber dome found in laptops today. But
since so many gamers swear by Blacks and linear switch, I can't resist
not trying a linear switch for just RM180. One day I will do a review of
the Choc Mini.

My daily driver now is a MX Brown even though I have at least 6 other keyboards in my store room, waiting for their turn to be used. Aside from different key switches, the different keyboard size plays a role. I don't like the full size keyboard anymore (the one with the numpad). My preference is a TKL (ten key less, the 10 keys that are taken out are the numpad keys). I also have smaller ones called 60% which are almost like the MacBook keyboard, minus the Function rows. There's tons of different sizes and different switches. It's a very interesting area of computing that many have overlooked.

The Great Blue; Kinetic Auto Relay 100M

I have a 15 year old Seiko watch which I love very much. It's a Great Blue series and kinda one-of-its-kind, because Seiko discontinued it as soon as it was launch. So, there are very limited number of units. The watch I own is a Kinetic Auto Relay which means it is powered by my arm movement. And the nice thing about it is that if I don't use my watch, it hands will not move but the Kinetic capacitor which stores energy (up to 4 years of inactivity) will continue to keep track of the time. When I picked up the watch and shake it a bit, it will wake up and auto adjust to the correct time whether it is AM or PM.

But my watch is 15 year old. At that age, the capacitor cannot hold a lot of charges. These days if I left my watch unused for 2 days, the watch stopped keeping time.

I need to get the capacitor replaced. But who is the official service center for Seiko?

The thing about luxury watches is that if you don't send it to their authorized dealer and service center, it will void your warranty. Worse, some unauthorized and shady dealer will replaced your minute hand or hour hand and second hand with cheaper hands because they can resell your hands.

So, I started looking for the service center. If I go to seikowatches.com, it says a company called Thong Sia Sdn Bhd in KL. What? Sounds like a Chinaman company and I don't have a lot of trust for Chinaman company! And how do we know seikowatches.com is legit Seiko website? Ok, I know I am paranoid but hey, why not seiko.com? It's really not easy when the company, Seiko, is not doing things to help secure their brand or advertise it.

I went to this place in Jalan Sultan Ismail. It's a building next to Standard Chartered, down the street from Lot 10. My suggestion is to take a train as the parking is VERY limited and very tight (although parking is cheap at RM4/hour).

When I went in, this was advertise in their reception / customer service area:

Ok, so I think I am more asssured that this is a legit place. To be a sole distributor for Seiko watches since 1963 must mean something (and Mido watches too). Anyway, I got my capacitor changed within 30 minutes, paid RM60 for it (didn't expect it to be that cheap - when I changed my wife's Tissot battery, it cost RM60 for a normal coin base battery from Switzerland, where I often wondered if they are trying to pull a fast one on their customer!).

Here's a mural in the reception office:

Nice historical wall mural about how they received their sole distributorship

It says:

But acquiring francise rights as Seiko’s sole agent for
South East Asia was not an easy task for Thong Sia.This was during a period when anti-Japanese statements were
rampant and Japanese goods were considered inferior to their western
counterparts.

In addition to this, Seiko already had a sole agent in Hong
Kong. Confident of its intimate knowledge of the market, Thong Sia
pledged an annual sales figure of 1.8 million watches for the South East Asian
region, from Seiko’s annual production of 5.8 million watches at that time.

Thus in 1963, Thong Sia became Seiko’s sole dealer for South
East Asia.

So, there you go. Thong Sia is legit.

iPhone 11 was launched yesterday. In a surprising an unexpected twist, Apple reduced the price of iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro Max. I suppose they learned their lessons from iPhone Xs a year ago. How much can they continue to squeeze from their loyal customers?

It's a good news really. Just as a comparison, before the 10 Sept launch day, an iPhone Xr 128GB sells for RM3,849. The new iPhone 11 with 128GB is now selling for RM3,599. That is a RM250 reduction (around US$50)! That's great news.

What is EVEN better news is that today, right after the launch of iPhone, the same Xr is reduced to RM3,099, a RM750 (US$150) reduction on the old model. Last year, Xr is considered the most value for money, especially the 128GB model. Today, while stock lasts, it is a STEAL! If you are considering an upgrade from 7 or 8, now is the time to do it!

Edit: This excellent article by Ben Thomson is worth a read:

That means that this year actually saw three price cuts:

First, the iPhone 11 — this year’s mid-tier model — costs $50 less than the iPhone XR it is replacing.

Second, the iPhone XR’s price is being cut by $150 a year after launch, not $100 as Apple has previously done.

Third, the iPhone 8’s price is also being cut by $150 two years after launch, not $100 as Apple has previously done.

This is getting out of hand.. are they asking for military actions? In the article, one man lied down in between the doors of the MRT train to prevent the train from moving. Goodness gracious!
What began as a movement to oppose the extradition law has taken on broader demands. They include the resignation of Hong Kong's Beijing-backed leader Carrie Lam, calls for full democracy and an independent inquiry into what some say has been excessive police force against protesters.

It’s amazing to see this development simply because Hong Kong IS a developed nation. It’s not like this is a country being oppressed economically or a third world country suffering from hunger. This is a country which is the 3rd largest financial exchange, after New York and London. I also read else where that some MNC companies have started moving their HQ from Hong Kong to Singapore, seeking a more stable country. Singapore is reaping this benefit.Ringgit Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07939848367324256918noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112323.post-35093847263359247612019-07-26T16:39:00.001+08:002019-07-29T08:41:33.360+08:00Apollo 11 anniversary: Astronauts left their poop on the moon. But the bigger human footprint on the moon is, arguably, the 96 bags of human waste left behind by the six Apollo missions that landed there.

Yes, our brave astronauts took dumps on their way to the moon, perhaps even on the moon, and they left behind their diapers in baggies, on humanity’s doorstep to the greater cosmos.

The bags have lingered there, and no one knows what has become of them. Now scientists want to go back, and answer a question that has profound implications for our future explorations of Mars: Is anything alive in them?
